Welcome To My Kitchen is an impressive new cookbook, authored by Verda Tschritter, West Fargo, ND. Verda grew up on a farm Linton, ND, and writes a weekly column with recipes for the Emmons County Record called Not by Bread Alone.

Verda shares in the introduction, “I helped prepare foods at a young age, and baked my first cake at age 8 which was a total flop, but that didn’t stop my younger siblings from gobbling it up. Recipes can be heritage gifts left behind by those who share them. Among the 350 recipes, there are about 50 that are Germans from Russia, or German recipes from our families, and some are from our traveling in Germany. Every German cook makes their dishes in a little different way and the spelling of the recipe differs. But those who like German food, are most interested in the taste and memories the food creates. Enjoy these recipes and all the others presented in this cookbook.”
