I recorded the conversations and wrote down the book of these narrations always in the awareness and in the effort to stay true to his personal narrative style ".

In his dedication, Otto Mueller writes: "For so many years I have felt homeless and betrayed myself, so I am very grateful to have found my new home in Canada, so I hope that my children will have the chance to be happy My wish is that Heavenly Father should watch over them and protect them all. "

Next he lets us hear: "The history of the Second World War has shaped my life so tremendously that my whole being is constantly pausing with the questions 'What?' and why?' The search for the truth has brought me to obsession, much has been written and presented in the film about this historical period, I have always tried to take it all in, but contradictory information and contradictions have repeatedly overwhelmed and irritated me Finally, in my quest for truth, one question remains: 'Whose truth?' "

Otto Mueller's book presents chapters on: "Historical Background," "Childhood (1921-1933)" [Childhood (1921-1933), "Burden of Collectivization," "Escape to Siberia "[Escape to Siberia]," Adolescence (1933 - 1939) "[Youth (1933 - 1939]," War and Captivity (1938 - 1946) "[War and Captivity (1938 - 1946)]," Escape to the West " [Escape to the West], "Waiting in West Germany (1946 - 1951)" [Waiting Time in West Germany (1946 - 1951)], "Emigration to Canada and a New Beginning in Winnipeg (1951 - 1966)"[Emigration to Canada and the New Beginning in Winnipeg (1951 - 1966)], as well as "Vancouver Island - Finally in the Sun" [Vancouver Island - Finally Under Sunshine].

Otto Mueller was born in 1921 as a Black German in Ukraine. His childhood was marked by the atrocities of the Red Army. However, his good sense, acumen and faith in God have helped him to overcome many life-threatening situations. Thanks to his skills as a translator, first for the Russians and later for the Germans, he made his way to the East as only one of two men fleeing from Poznan over 1,500 men and escaping the encircling Russians. However, the end of the World War did not mean the end of Otto's suffering. The Allies, following the Russian demand, have handed over Russian Germans to the East.
