Dr. Timothy Kloberdanz authors his first book in fiction, One Day on the River Red.
This book is about a Norwegian Lutheran man from Fargo, who marries a German-Russian Catholic woman from the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in western North Dakota. To many of their relatives and friends, theirs is a “mixed marriage.” Most of the story takes place in North Fargo, and in the span of a single, eventful day. The novella was published by Clovis House, a new independent press that publishes and promotes the cultural heritage of the Great American West.
Kloberdanz is already at work on his second and third works of fiction. Great Plains humorist and novelist Tony Bender writes about Kloberdanz’s new book “Imagine the familiar voice of an old friend sharing an amazing fable….But maybe it isn’t a fable after all. A marvelous dream, perhaps. One thing is certain: One Day on the River Red ends too soon.”
A portion of the profits from the sale of the book will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
