The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is pleased to present the sixteenth print of Küche Kochen published by AHSGR. As stated in the dedication: "We dedicate these humble efforts to the loving memories of our great-grandmothers, grandmothers and mothers who diligently and faithfully preserved our heritage."

The cookbook's preface shares these comments: "Many a spirited discussion rages over exactly what proportions of what should go into a proper recipe; whether it should be boiled or baked, served with sweet or sour cream, with each cook inclined to follow the dictates of her great-grandmother."

Many of the recipes in this book are old family recipes, cherished from generation to generation and handed down to us by our forefathers. They reflect a combination of German, Russian and American influences. Many recipes actually were written from memory with accurate measurements from the first time. The unique expressions illustrate the variances in dialect, traditions and cultures.

The recipes include sections on blinas, breads, dumplings, grebble, main dishes, meats, salads and soups.
