The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is pleased to provide one of the most popular music CDs ever produced of Germans from Russia traditional folk music. This popular of twenty-one well known folksongs of the Germans from Russia (Russlanddeutschen). The music relates to the folksongs from Ukraine, Volga, Kaukasus, and Central Asia (1763-1941).

The performers are Katharina Rissling (singing) born in 1958 at Dschambul, Kazakhstan; Jakob Fischer (singing) born in 1955 at Tobolino, Tschimkent, South Kazakhstan; Wladimir Dederer (instrument) born in 1959 at Zelinograd (Astana), Kazakhstan; and Eduard Frickel (instrument) born in 1959 at Karaganda, Kazakhstan. Each person studied music in Kazakhstan before immigrating to Germany.
